Q.  My product came in a tube!  Is this the same Born Again cream that I have been using?  I don't see Born Again on the tube, I see At Last Naturals, who are they?

A.  Yes.  All Born Again wild yam cream and wild yam gel are now packaged in tubes for sanitary reasons.  The new packaging reflects the manufacturer's name (At Last Naturals).  The person who invented this cream is Alvin Last, the owner of At Last Naturals , who is also the creator of Born Again wild yam cream.  He started his company with just Born Again wild yam cream and then branched out into other wild yam products. They didn't want to call those products Born Again so they dropped that name and have switched to At Last Naturals.  We are sorry for the confusion this has caused, but we want to assure everyone that your products are the SAME FORMULA as you have always received.  The only difference is that it will now come in new packaging instead of jar.  It is the same size,  2 oz. tube, and is still the same price.

Q.  Are the other wild yam creams with an 8.5% or a 10% extract better than the Born Again/At Last Naturals products?

A.  Although other brands make percentage claims of Wild Yam on their labels, when tested for levels of the active ingredient, Diosgenin, in a study commissioned and performed by an independent laboratory, all other brands, which comprise the entire market of Wild Yam products, contained 0 to 10% active ingredient, Born Again/At Last Naturals brand Wild Yam cream contained .12% Diosgenin.  Read the ingredient disclosure on available products, you will find that only Born Again/At Last Naturals has Wild Yam listed as the first ingredient.  You cannot find a higher strength extract.

If you feel you need something even stronger, we now have another product: Equigest which is a natural PROGESTERONE cream.  Equigest has been formulated to absorb readily and contains just the right combination of quality ingredients to help maintain balance.

Q.  How many mg. of Wild Yam is in the Born Again topical products?

A.  The Born Again Wild Yam cream contains 1,900 mg. per 2 oz. jar.

Q.  How soon do you feel the effects of the Born Again products?

Mexican yam has long had a reputation as a woman's herb. During the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, wild yam was used to treat menstrual pain and conditions related to childbirth. Pregnant women used wild yam to combat nausea, ease aching muscles, and prevent miscarriages.

Wild yam was also used as a colic remedy. Furthermore, the plant's anti-inflammatory properties were thought to be effective in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis.

Most of those uses were forgotten after Japanese researchers in 1936 discovered that wild yam contained diosgenin, a chemical that scientist Russell Marker used in the 1940s to create synthetic progesterone and the hormone DHEA.
